Role Summary:
The Director Sales is responsible for the overall sales strategy and execution within the organization. This role involves leading a dynamic team of sales professionals, defining the sales process, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, and driving revenue growth. The Director Sales will collaborate with other departments to align sales initiatives with business goals, enhance client relationships, and explore new market opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth and Sales Target
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve organizational revenue goals and expand market share.
- Monitor sales targets, ensuring that the sales objectives align with the company's growth strategy.
- Analyze sales performance data and adjust strategies as necessary to meet revenue goals.
- Ensure the execution of sales plans aligns with market trends and client needs, contributing to overall revenue growth.
2. New Customer Acquisition
- Expand the customer base by acquiring new clients in targeted industries or geographies.
- Develop structured weekly meeting plans updated on internal systems for effective lead generation.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings with potential customers to acquire new clients and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales campaigns with lead generation strategies, supporting the acquisition of new customers.
3. Customer Retention & Relationship Building
- Focus on customer retention by building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Proactively address customer needs through tailored solutions, upselling, or offering additional services.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and work to foster loyalty through personalized service.
- Identify key accounts and ensure their long-term success, while exploring upselling or cross-selling opportunities to grow business.
4. Sales Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement strategies to shorten the sales cycle and improve conversion rates.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in the sales process, ensuring timely follow-ups and higher close rates.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve the overall sales process, ensuring better alignment with client needs and market demands.
5. Digital Transformation & Online Sales Integration
- Embrace digital tools and technology to streamline sales processes and enhance a paperless environment.
- Enhance the organization's online sales capabilities to meet the evolving market needs.
- Foster internal collaboration to ensure seamless integration between sales, marketing, finance, and customer support teams.
- Drive digital sales initiatives by integrating digital solutions into the sales process to align with client expectations and market trends.
Job Specification:
Basic Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience (No. Of Years):
- Minimum experience of 10 years in sales role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of sales techniques, CRM systems, and sales analytics.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
