About Mint Rewards

Mint Rewards is an award-winning CleanTech and climate innovation startup, transforming how unmanaged and informal waste is digitised, tracked, and rewarded in Pakistan and other emerging markets. Our work addresses systemic gaps where waste is handled by scavengers and informal collectors with no formal incentives or recognition. Through our recycling-for-rewards model, traceability tech, and CO₂-offsetting ecosystem, we are building a scalable solution that turns waste into data, impact, and value — combining technology, community, and behavioural change to redefine circular economy infrastructure.

Mint Impact Solutions is our advisory and intelligence arm. It supports companies, governments, and development partners in designing sustainability strategies, implementing circular models, and accessing ESG and carbon finance. We are now building a homegrown ESG intelligence platform for emerging markets, and we're looking for a visionary 
Managing Director
 to lead this next phase.

Role Overview

This is a dual leadership role — part sustainability strategist, part business-builder. You will:

• Serve as our lead expert on sustainability, waste systems, circular economy, and ESG
• Manage advisory services for corporates, government, and international institutions
• Guide the development of Mint's ESG reporting and impact intelligence platform
• Build and lead partnerships across public and private sectors
• Represent Mint in thought leadership, policy, and public engagement

You'll act as the bridge between sustainability expertise, global frameworks, local needs, and tech innovation — ensuring what we build solves real challenges across the Global South.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability & Advisory Leadership

• Lead the delivery of ESG and sustainability consulting projects for corporates, government bodies, and multilateral partners
• Develop and execute circular economy strategies, waste management plans, and community development initiatives
• Design and oversee training, CSR programs, stakeholder engagement, and ESG reporting for clients
• Represent Mint Rewards and Mint Impact Solutions in forums, workshops, and public events

ESG Product & Platform Development

• Map global ESG frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD, CSRD) and define how Mint's platform can localise and simplify these for Pakistan, South Asia, GCC, and Africa
• Collaborate with the founder and product team to develop ESG platform modules, data structures, and client journeys
• Build relationships with sustainability consultants and ecosystem partners to co-design product features and data standards
• Contribute to whitepapers, policy briefs, and knowledge content that positions Mint as a regional ESG thought leader

Strategic Partnerships & Growth

• Forge and maintain senior relationships across government, multinationals, development agencies, and sustainability networks
• Identify partnership and monetisation opportunities across the advisory and platform business
• Help position Mint Rewards as the go-to climate-tech brand for measurable ESG action in emerging markets

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or climate consulting
• Familiarity with leading ESG frameworks (e.g. GRI, CSRD, TCFD) and their relevance in emerging economies
• Strong track record of working with corporates, international NGOs, or the public sector on sustainability strategies
• Product-minded: able to translate sustainability expertise into platform features and user needs
• Excellent communicator and confident public speaker
• Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable leading a vertical and growing a team from scratch

Compensation

• Significant equity opportunity in Mint Impact Solutions (MIS) upon transition to MD/Partner.
• Phantom equity of up to 
  8%
   in Mint Rewards based on experience and role.
