Job Description

We are a UK Accounting and consulting firm. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and submitting proposals to win new projects on upwork agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and research potential clients and opportunities within our target market and apply for Upwork jobs using agency connect.
  2. Engage with leads, pitch our services, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our agency.
  3. Prepare and submit high-quality proposals to clients, highlighting our capabilities and how we can address their business needs.
  4. Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
  5. Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of client projects.
  6. Maintain a strong pipeline of leads and actively monitor the progress of ongoing sales initiatives.
  7. Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships and identify new business prospects.
  8. Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within the digital/IT services industry.
  2. Proven track record of successfully identifying, pitching, and securing new clients.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  4. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients at all levels.
  5. Proficient in using Upwork or similar freelance platforms to submit proposals and manage client projects.
  6. Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to work closely with the delivery team.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with B2B clients in the [industry/sector] space.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Certification in sales, business development, or project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
