Role Description

Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: On-site, Islamabad

Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on QA experience

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at MM CODING LINGO, you will:

  • Execute manual test cases and verify software functionality against requirements
  • Develop detailed, reusable test cases and maintain the test case repository
  • Log, track, and verify defects using industry-standard tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to sprint planning in an Agile environment
  • Assist in creating test plans, checklists, and QA documentation
  • Mentor junior QA team members on best practices and testing techniques

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience:

  • At least 2+ year of professional experience in software quality assurance or related role
  • On-site availability in Islamabad, working 9 AM–6 PM

Core QA Skills:

  • Manual testing: test execution, exploratory testing, regression testing
  • Test case design and management
  • Defect lifecycle management and bug reporting
  • Test planning and risk analysis

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla, or similar
  • Basic understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver)
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SOAP UI)
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git)

Methodologies:

  • Agile/Scrum workflows, participation in sprint ceremonies
  • Continuous integration basics (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
