YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to formulate and review legal strategy in alignment with business requirements.
  • Provide strategic legal inputs to resolve license-to-operate (LTO) related issues and engage with key stakeholders with a view to facilitate conducive business environment.
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions or strategic investments / divestments in any part of the Company in collaboration with the relevant business/strategy and Global M&A teams.
  • Manage litigation for and against the Company in respect of the all businesses in a cost-effective manner, including managing outside counsel, with focus on closing contentious issues.
  • Monitoring the litigation for and against the Company.
  • Responsible to draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents related to variety of trade, commercial, financial and operations matters.
  • Track legislative developments and emerging regulations and ensure business compliance in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Regional and Global colleagues on critical matters/key projects for smooth and effective support.
  • Implement applicable global policies and introducing local policies, SOPs, procedures etc.
  • Involved in critical/high risk matters and provide advice and innovative solutions that require critical thinking and calculated risk taking.
  • Responsible to advise on compliance policies/topics (within the scope of Local LPC).

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Education:
    University degree in law from a premier institute
  • Experience:
    of experience As in house counsel: preference for experience in corporate /commercial/M&A/competition laws
  • Knowledge of judicial system and litigation
  • Business partnering mindset and behavior
  • Strategic skills and analytical thinking, ability to reduce complexity
  • Ability to challenge status quo and to embrace change
  • Excellent communication skills; command of English (written & spoken)
