Role Description

Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, mapping, documenting and creating the enterprise data warehouse and managing end-to-end Job mechanisms for data extraction, transformation and loading of data functions. Also, He should be able to analyse the business requirements and able to transform those requirements into ETL job functions using industry best practices. Technically leading the Data integration and services team will be one of his/her core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and document enterprise data warehouse architecture and ETL mechanisms.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into optimized ETL workflows using industry best practices.
  • Lead the Data Integration and Services team, providing technical guidance and ensuring project success.
  • Manage end-to-end data extraction, transformation, and loading processes (ETL) to ensure seamless data flow and integration across systems.
  • Implement and maintain ETL frameworks, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data solutions and business needs.
  • Continuously evaluate new data integration technologies and methodologies to improve existing systems.
  • Monitor ETL processes for performance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 6 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL, and data integration (6-8 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Integration (DI) methodology.
  • Knowledge of Big Data platforms, cloud architectures, and data integration best practices.
  • ETL Tools:
    Talend, IBM Infosphere Datastage, Informatica, SSIS.
  • RDBMS & Databases:
    MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Vertica, IBM DB2, Teradata, MySQL, Oracle.
  • Big Data Technologies:
    Hadoop, Cloudera, Talend for Big Data, Hbase, MongoDB.
  • Modeling Tools:
    IBM Data Architect, Erwin.
  • Languages:
    Strong SQL skills and experience with database scripting.
