General Job Description:
The Helpdesk Support Officer will be the first point of contact for faculty, staff,
and students requiring technical assistance. The position requires good troubleshooting skills and strong technical expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responding to and resolving I.T.-related incidents and requests.
- Troubleshoot problems arising from hardware equipment and related software
- Install, configure, and update applications, drivers, and operating systems.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN).
- Provide support for Office 365 and Google Workspace applications.
- Escalate complex issues to Systems Administrator with detailed documentation.
- Assist in I.T. asset management (hardware/software inventory, license tracking, etc.).
- Support implementation of security, backup, and compliance policies.
- Attend to all the facilities request where I.T. equipment is required.
- Assist department and school with any additional responsibilities delegated on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum two years' experience in providing I.T. support with at least one year in Tier 2 or equivalent role.
- Experience in a school or academic setting will be a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and User Account Management.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection/antivirus tools.
- Strong skills in problem solving and customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical solutions in simple terms.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Team player; able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation v4
