Skills and requirements:

Strong understanding of game art pipelines.Versatility and strong understanding of art styles (should be able to adapt to most styles, whether stylized or realistic).Technical understanding and ability to manage a project in a lead capacity, ensuring the completion of assigned tasks with minimal oversight from senior staff.Specialization in at least one area, such as organic modeling/sculpting or hard surface modeling, using the latest tools and techniques.Proficiency in unwrapping and texturing (both modern and traditional texturing processes).For environment artists: ability to create environments, work with lighting and shaders in game engines, and have a strong understanding of game level design.Versatility in production tasks: flexible enough to work on varying aspects of production based on project needs, e.g., characters, environments, etc.Versatility with tools: open to learning new tools based on project requirements.Ability to assist developers with art integration in-engine.Strong communication skills.Strict adherence to quality standards and conduct as evaluated by directors.For animators: expertise in custom rigging, knowledge of game engines, and advanced animation pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication and ability to
    understand the high level requirements from clients and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate with the Concept
    Lead/Art Director to understand the Artistic vision of the project.
  • Communicate direction and
    comprehensive feedback to the artists and teams.
  • Manage/tasking the team of
    artists (external and OS) with multiple projects.
  • Working with
    Producers/Directors/PMs/Leads to manage and schedule the deadlines and
    ensure the quality production.
  • Managing the Art assets i.e.
    tracking iterations and updating the lists of updated set of assets.
  • Mentor and train artists to
    help them grow.
