About the Role

As a
Social Media Associate
, you will work closely with our clients to lead social media initiatives by developing content calendars, creating content, managing platforms, and collaborating with creative teams. This role requires a creative mindset, strong organisation and execution capabilities, and a solid understanding of platform trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Strategy & Planning:
  Support in identifying platform priorities based on audience insights, develop and maintain content calendars, and contribute ideas to optimize ongoing strategies.
• Content Creation & Curation:
  Create light content using tools like Canva and Capcut. Collaborate with design and content teams to guide asset creation; write engaging captions, copies, and concepts.
• Content Scheduling & Publishing:
  Schedule and publish content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) using tools like Hootsuite, Later, or Meta Business Suite.
• Community Engagement:
  Monitor and respond to audience interactions in a timely, brand-appropriate manner. Track sentiment and escalate feedback when necessary.
• Influencer & Partnership Coordination:
  Assist in identifying potential influencers and manage basic communication and coordination for campaigns.
• Paid Campaign Support:
  Assist in setting up and tracking paid ad campaigns, collaborating on creatives, and reporting performance data.
• Analytics & Reporting:
  Use platform analytics to track KPIs (reach, engagement, growth), generate weekly/monthly performance reports, and share insights for improvement.
• Trend Monitoring & Insights:
  Stay updated on social media trends, industry changes, and competitor activities to inform content and engagement strategy.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work with marketing, creative, and client success teams to ensure social media activities align with broader brand goals.
• Crisis Management Support:
  Help prepare and execute communication plans in response to negative social media incidents or sensitive issues.
• Ongoing Learning & Development:
  Proactively stay informed on emerging tools and best practices; attend relevant training sessions or webinars to continuously improve your skill set.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (in-house/VA) - Agency experience preferred
• Strong understanding of all social media platforms and trends.
• Proficiency in tools like Office, Canva, Capcut, Meta Business Suite, ChatGPT.
• Proficient in light design and editing skills - such as making reels and posts - is a huge plus
• Candidates that have an interest in understanding and implementing AI tools are preferred
• Strong content sense – ability to identify what's engaging, trending, and visually appealing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Aesthetic sensibility and familiarity with visual storytelling
