R&D Director

Strategic Planning and R&D Direction

Develop the company's medium- and long-term R&D strategy and technology roadmap.

Evaluate industry trends, competitor technologies, and market needs, and identify innovation opportunities.

Closely align R&D objectives with business strategy and product planning.

Project Management and Execution

Lead R&D projects from concept to commercialization.

Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

Track project progress to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Team Leadership and Talent Development

Establish and manage interdisciplinary R&D teams (engineering, science, product design, etc.).

Cultivate the team's innovative capabilities and professional skills, building a learning organization.

Promote technology sharing and a culture of cross-departmental collaboration.

Innovation and Technology Management

Evaluate, introduce, or develop new technologies, materials, and processes.

Oversee the management and application of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, and copyrights).

Promote open innovation and collaborate with universities, research institutions, and industry partners.

Quality and Compliance

Ensure R&D activities comply with national regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Oversee product testing, verification, and certification processes.

Cost control and performance evaluation

Develop annual R&D budgets and monitor execution.

Evaluate the commercial and technical value of R&D results through quantitative metrics.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in engineering, science, information technology, medicine, or a related field (PhD preferred);

8+ years of R&D management experience, including at least 3 years in leadership positions;

Experience in project management from R&D to product launch;

Familiarity with innovation management processes (e.g., Stage-Gate, Agile, Lean Innovation, etc.);

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication and coordination skills;

Fluent English or other foreign language skills preferred.

Preferred Points

Experience with multinational or technology-driven companies;

Participation in or leadership of patent, technology transfer, or research collaboration projects;

Familiarity with cutting-edge areas such as ESG, digital transformation, AI, and smart manufacturing.
