Junior SQA Intern (Full-Time, Onsite)

Join our dynamic team and kick-start your career in Software Quality Assurance We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time, onsite Junior SQA Intern position. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional, fast-paced development environment, with the potential for a full-time conversion based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior SQA Intern, you will work closely with our QA and Development teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Test Execution: Execute manual test cases and test scripts for new features, bug fixes, and regression testing on web and mobile applications.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and report software defects (bugs) accurately and clearly using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira).
  • Documentation: Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, and effectively communicate testing status and issues to developers and product managers.
  • Process Improvement: Learn and adhere to established QA processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum).
  • Learning & Growth: Shadow senior SQA engineers to gain exposure to test automation concepts and tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or final year student/recent graduate).
  • Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Core Skills: Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to articulate defects and progress effectively.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Preferred Skills (Great to have)

  • Familiarity with any bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Basic knowledge of manual testing concepts like Black Box testing.
  • Exposure to or basic understanding of SQL queries or a programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
