Role Overview:

Responsible for overseeing an organization's cash flow, financial assets, and risk management. This role involves a mix of hands-on operational tasks and strategic financial planning.

Role Responsibilities:

Cash and liquidity management

  • Direct daily cash management operations, including cash positioning, wire transfers, ACH payments, and account funding.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Optimize cash balances and manage cash concentration and disbursement strategies.

Risk management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange (FX) risk, interest rate risk, and counterparty credit risk.
  • Develop and execute hedging strategies to protect against currency and interest rate fluctuations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and treasury policies to mitigate operational risk.

Banking relationships and operations

  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions.
  • Negotiate banking agreements, services, and fees to optimize the cost of banking services.
  • Administer bank accounts, including account openings, closings, and signatory updates.

Investment and debt management

  • Manage excess cash investments according to company policy.
  • Oversee the debt portfolio, ensuring timely payments and compliance.

Reporting and analysis

  • Prepare treasury reports, cash position summaries, and liquidity metrics for management.
  • Perform financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making.

Team leadership and cross-functional support

  • Supervise and mentor junior treasury staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments like accounting, tax, and legal.

Education & Experience:

  • CA qualified/finalist.
  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in treasury or corporate finance.

Skills:

  • Financial modeling, proficiency with treasury management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and advanced Excel. Knowledge of financial markets and debt financing is also important.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are also necessary.
