Powertek USA LLC is seeking a
NERC CIP Compliance Specialist
to support the company's ongoing efforts in maintaining compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards. The specialist will ensure that Powertek's compliance framework, documentation, and operations align with regulatory requirements. This role involves performing assurance activities, monitoring compliance posture, identifying risks, and providing actionable remediation recommendations. The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams, external auditors, and system owners to promote a proactive and resilient compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reviews of policies, standards, procedures, and controls to assess compliance with NERC CIP requirements.
  • Identify compliance gaps, risk areas, and opportunities for improving Powertek's overall compliance posture.
  • Develop, recommend, and track corrective and preventive actions for identified gaps.
  • Support compliance audits, including documentation, evidence collection, and responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to ensure implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Prepare compliance assurance reports, risk memos, and escalation summaries for management.
  • Monitor regulatory and standard updates, assessing their impact on existing programs.
  • Conduct compliance awareness sessions and training for internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation, audit logs, and continuous improvement records.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Security, Compliance, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    working with
    NERC CIP standards and compliance
    .
  • Proven experience supporting audits, evidence gathering, and regulatory reporting.
  • Prior experience in the
    energy or utilities sector
    is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of NERC CIP standards, controls, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in
    Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
    tools such as
    RSA Archer
    or similar platforms.
