We're seeking a motivated Embedded Systems Engineer Trainee who bridges both firmware and hardware domains. This early-career role offers hands-on experience in designing, building, and integrating embedded systems—from circuit schematics and PCB layouts to firmware development and sensor communication. Ideal for someone eager to grow rapidly in IoT and electric vehicle technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test both firmware and hardware for embedded systems.
  • Assist in schematic creation and PCB layout generation.
  • Write, debug, and optimize firmware in Embedded C/C++
  • Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS), microcontrollers, and peripheral drivers.
  • Integrate and debug communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS-485, I2C, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
  • Support projects related to swappable EV battery infrastructure and energy monitoring, involving both hardware and cloud connectivity (e.g., MQTT, HTTP with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
  • Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) for hardware validation and firmware testing.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, and cloud teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Maintain documentation, participate in design reviews, and continuously research new technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Embedded C and/or C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with RTOS, microcontroller platforms (e.g., ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Arduino), and embedded architectures such as ARM.Knowledge of electronics, sensors, digital/analog circuit design, and communication protocols (CAN, UART, RS-485, I2C).
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Understanding of debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG).
  • Capacity to read and interpret datasheets and PCB/hardware documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn emerging technologies and adaptability to evolving project needs.
