Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Associate to support our finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Assist in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and financial statements as required.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and records.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for expense tracking and budget monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role preferred (freshers with strong internships can apply).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed Acca, ICMA part qualified, or similar qualifications.
  • Experience working in [industry type, e.g., manufacturing, IT, services, etc.].
  • Familiarity with GST, and tax filling knowledge.
