Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer

Industry: Smart Grid Projects

Location: Karachi

Salary Package: Market Competitive

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contractual

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

  • Break down project scope into WBS and define activity sequences, durations, and dependencies.

  • Prepare and maintain discipline-specific schedules for electrical, telecom, automation systems, and control center works.

  • Ensure logical sequencing of activities for SRMU installation, field equipment deployment, and system integration.

  • Support interface planning between site works and control Center readiness.

  • Track progress against baseline schedules and update look-ahead plans.

  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and dashboards.

  • Identify schedule variances and support mitigation planning.

  • Assist in Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance analysis.

  • Conduct schedule forecasting and scenario analysis.

  • Support change control processes and maintain updated schedule baselines.

  • Support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives in planning and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in project planning for Smart Grid Projects.

  • Strong experience in Automation projects or control center projects with multi-system integration.

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel-based reporting tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From Rs200,000.00 per month
