Key Responsibilities:
● Manage and monitor the daily workflow of medical billing processes, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-ups.
● Lead, mentor, and supervise remote medical billing teams, ensuring productivity targets and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
● Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular performance reports and updates.
● Identify process bottlenecks and implement strategies to streamline billing cycles, reduce claim denials, and improve cash flow.
● Ensure billing practices comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, payer policies) and maintain high accuracy and quality control standards.t
● Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Days in AR, Clean Claim Rate, and Denial Rate, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
● Organize training sessions and continuous development programs for team members to keep them updated with the latest payer policies and coding changes.
● Proactively identify potential risks or errors in billing processes and implement corrective action plans to mitigate revenue loss.
● Work closely with coding teams, credentialing specialists, and revenue cycle management (RCM) teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
● Recommend and assist in the implementation of medical billing software and tools to enhance team efficiency and data security.
Requirements:
● Minimum 4 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
● Proficiency in medical billing software and RCM processes.
● Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
● Experience handling medical billing for various specialties.
● Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
● Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, insurers, and healthcare professionals.
● In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including
HIPAA.
