Job Summary
Prepac Engineering is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth initiatives for our Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) packaging machines and related industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development or sales management within the industrial machinery or packaging sector, with proven ability to identify new opportunities, expand market presence, and build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
· Business Growth & Market Development:
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
· Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
· Develop and implement sales and growth strategies for VFFS machines.
· Expand client base in industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG.
· Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
· Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts.
· Provide tailored business proposals in collaboration with technical and sales teams.
· Strategic Planning & Reporting:
· Develop annual and quarterly business development plans aligned with company goals.
· Monitor sales performance, pipeline development, and prepare regular progress reports.
· Represent Prepac Engineering at exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
· Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Work closely with sales engineers, service engineers, and production teams to ensure client requirements are met.
· Provide insights to management on new product opportunities and service improvements.
· Mentor and support junior sales and business development staff.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience in business development, preferably in packaging machinery, industrial equipment, or manufacturing.
· Familiarity with packaging machinery (VFFS) or industrial automation is a strong advantage.
· Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP Business One is a plus.
· Strong command of English and Urdu (Punjabi is an advantage).
