Job Title: Lab Assistant Chemist

Location: Gulshan-e Maymar

Transport Provided for Females only

Job Type: Full-time (Office-Based)

Overall Purpose: To provide essential technical and operational support to chemists and senior lab staff by performing routine laboratory tasks, basic analytical testing, and sample preparation to ensure efficient lab workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample & Solution Preparation: Prepare chemical samples, standard solutions, reagents, and buffers for analysis according to standard formulas and procedures.
  • Routine Testing: Perform routine analytical tests (e.g., titrations, pH measurements, basic spectrophotometry) and document results.
  • Equipment Support: Operate and maintain standard laboratory instruments; perform basic calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Lab Maintenance: Ensure the laboratory is clean, organized, and safe; properly handle, store, and dispose of chemical waste.
  • Data & Inventory Support: Accurately record data in lab notebooks and digital systems. Assist in monitoring inventory levels of chemicals and lab supplies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's in Chemical Technology or a related science degree; a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of chemical principles and hands-on experience with common lab equipment and glassware.
  • Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of standing for periods and safely handling chemicals.
