Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor laboratory staff including technologists, technicians, and assistants.
  • Ensure accurate and timely testing and reporting of results.
  • Maintain quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and healthcare providers to support patient care.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Stay updated with latest developments in laboratory techniques and technologies.
  • Oversee budget, cost control, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Prepare for and coordinate laboratory inspections and audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO certification, lab operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
