We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled IT Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a retail environment and will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting system and networking issues, monitoring CCTV, and verifying product returns. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a solid foundation in IT support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level IT support to employees via in-person, email, and phone communication for system hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, POS systems, and network equipment.
  • Perform regular system checks to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Monitor CCTV footage for employee activity, product return verification, and detection of suspicious behavior.
  • Investigate and report suspicious activity in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Verify product returns by cross-checking system data and performing inspections in line with company policies.
  • Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the senior IT team when necessary.
  • Assist in implementing IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT trends and security practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of IT support experience in a retail firm (mandatory requirement).
  • Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience with POS/ERP systems (preferred).
  • Good understanding of system hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret CCTV footage for reporting and security purposes.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of information security principles.
