As a Software Engineer Intern at , you'll be part of a passionate team building the next generation of communication and AI tools for global SMBs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize
    backend services using PHP (Laravel)
    framework.
  • Build responsive and dynamic
    front-end interfaces using
    .
  • Design and manage
    SQL database schemas
    , queries, and performance tuning.
  • Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Twilio, SignalWire, Meta, Google, Outlook) into the Dakia platform.
  • Collaborate with the AI, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and security across all services.
  • Participate in feature planning, sprint reviews, and architecture discussions.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and ensure proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and deploy timely fixes.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in
    PHP (Laravel Framework)
    .
  • Solid experience with

    , including hooks, context API, and component-based architecture.
  • Deep understanding of
    SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
    and relational schema design.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments and deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of WebSockets, Redis, or real-time communication systems.
  • Experience with AI/ML integrations or communication APIs (Twilio, SignalWire, Avoxi).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to data analytics and reporting tools.
