We are looking for a dynamic Sales Lead with a strong technical foundation and proven sales success.
Your Role
- Proactively generate leads and cultivate inquiries through strategic client meetings, site visits, and active participation in industry networking events.
- Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities within your designated territory or specific industry sector.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to pinpoint emerging market segments and potential avenues for growth.
- Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients and influential contacts within the industry.
- Develop a deep understanding of our clients' unique business challenges and translate those into tailored, value-driven solutions.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and compelling demonstrations of our capabilities to prospective clients.
- Serve as a technical expert throughout the sales process, effectively addressing client questions and providing insightful solutions.
- Contribute strategically to the development of effective sales strategies and robust market penetration plans.
- Address and resolve complex customer issues by providing tailored, value-driven solutions that clearly articulate and reinforce our value proposition.
- Negotiate effectively with customers, demonstrating a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Guide the internal team towards developing optimal and innovative solutions that effectively meet and exceed customer needs.
- Oversee and facilitate the efficient resolution of customer issues within the team, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of high-quality proposals.
- Enhance the overall effectiveness of the sales team by providing strong technical support and contributing to the development of integrated systems and tools that streamline processes.
- Ensure seamless alignment of team efforts with internal stakeholders across departments to guarantee timely task completion and project success.
- Oversee customer training programs facilitated by our valued Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including industry leaders like Rockwell Automation and Endress Hauser.
- Mentor and train new team members, while also keeping the entire sales team informed about the latest market advancements and innovative solution offerings.
- Leverage your deep technical expertise in a wide range of industrial automation technologies, including PLC/SCADA systems, DCS, HMI, MES, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Conduct thorough analyses of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to ensure comprehensive alignment with both technical and commercial requirements, including the effective integration of subcontractors and systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company business conduct policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal requirements.
- Strategically plan and execute during the pre-sales cycle to proactively mitigate potential risks and streamline overall project execution.
- Collaborate effectively with global OEMs to track Capital Expenditure (Capex) programs and ensure alignment with detailed user specifications.
- Develop comprehensive Capex and Sales plans for our diverse range of automation solutions and services.
- Take a leadership role in developing high-quality, winning proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other competitive bids.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of client requirements and the competitive landscape to develop differentiated offerings.
- Develop compelling technical and commercial proposals that clearly articulate our unique value proposition and effectively differentiate us from competitors.
- Ensure all proposals are technically accurate, fully compliant with client specifications, and adhere strictly to all proposal deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to gather and seamlessly integrate critical technical information, pricing details, and customer-specific solutions.
- Manage the entire proposal development process, including coordinating team efforts, meticulously tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality proposals.
- Develop and maintain standardized proposal templates, comprehensive information libraries, and best practice guidelines.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field) is essential.
years of progressive experience in roles encompassing sales engineering, proposal development, and technical expertise within the industrial automation industry, with a demonstrable track record of successfully developing and winning competitive proposals.
In-depth understanding of industrial automation technologies, including PLC/SCADA systems, DCS, HMI, MES, instrumentation, and control systems.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Proven experience with estimation and costing for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process control entities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability in technical writing and proposal development.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and relevant industry-specific software applications.
Highly results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
Highly motivated and self-driven with a passion for achieving goals.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
