
Fleet Supervisor

A fleet supervisor oversees daily vehicle operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant use of a company's vehicles and equipment. Key responsibilities include managing drivers and mechanics, scheduling maintenance and repairs, monitoring costs, enforcing safety regulations, and maintaining accurate fleet records. The goal is to optimize fleet performance, maximize efficiency, and minimize costs through effective strategy and operational supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Supervise daily fleet operations, including vehicle assignments and routing.
- Driver & Personnel Management: Manage, train, and mentor drivers and mechanics, addressing performance issues and ensuring adherence to policies and schedules.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate and schedule regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, DOT rules, and company policies.
- Cost Control: Monitor fuel consumption, implement cost-saving measures, and assist with budget development.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and operational data.
- Reporting: Analyze fleet performance data and prepare reports on maintenance, costs, and overall fleet status.
- Procurement & Administration: Coordinate the purchase, registration, and licensing of new vehicles.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Logistics Experience: Proven experience in logistics and the transportation industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Safety & Regulations: Knowledge of driving rules, regulations, and fleet-related safety standards.
- Management & Communication: Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills to manage staff effectively.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, identify operational issues, and develop solutions.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with fleet management software (FMS) and GPS systems.
- Qualification: Minimun Intermediate required.
- Salary: Rs.37,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per month
