The Intellectual Property Management Officer is responsible for managing and safeguarding the company's intellectual property portfolio, including national and international trademarks, copyrights, and related rights. The role also involves handling regulatory compliance, labour law matters, and coordination with relevant legal and government bodies to protect and uphold the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all trademark registrations, renewals, oppositions, and infringements both locally and internationally.
  • Liaise with trademark agents, law firms, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely filing and protection of IP assets.
  • Conduct research on potential trademark conflicts and prepare legal documentation for filing or defense.
  • Handle intellectual property disputes, infringements, and enforcement actions in coordination with legal counsel.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance with relevant bodies such as DRAP, IPO Pakistan, SECP, and other government institutions.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in laws, rules, and regulations that may impact company operations.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records of ongoing cases, filings, and ensure compliance with legal deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors in Science, Technology and engineering fields, LLB or LLM with Intellectual Property or a related specialization is desirable.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property management, legal affairs, or corporate compliance.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of IP laws, trademark registration, and enforcement procedures
  • Knowledge of labour laws and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple regulatory bodies and external law firms
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities
