Operations Manager – Inspection Services

Role Summary

The
Operations Manager – Inspection Services
will be responsible for leading and managing the entire operational framework of the inspection business in Pakistan. This includes overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, managing inspection personnel, optimizing departmental performance, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capability to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee and coordinate all activities related to
  Technical Inspection Services (TIS)
  ,
  NDT
  ,
  Lifting Inspections
  , and
  Calibration Operations
  .
• Plan, allocate, and monitor manpower and resources for ongoing and upcoming inspection projects.
• Supervise inspection assignments and ensure compliance with client specifications and international standards (ISO, ASME, API, AWS, BS).
• Ensure timely execution of projects while maintaining profitability and service quality.
• Lead the preparation and monitoring of departmental
  P&L
  ,
  revenue targets
  , and
  Work in Progress (WIP)
  .
• Manage all operational administration including job costing, invoicing, and debt recovery.

Team & Personnel Management

• Manage the recruitment, deployment, and evaluation of engineers, inspectors, and technical staff for local and international assignments.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs to enhance team capability.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and HSE standards.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the
  primary liaison
  for major clients, ensuring the highest level of service and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with clients for project scheduling, reporting, and inspection documentation.
• Maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders such as
  OGRA, PSQCA, PNRA, PEC
  , and
  international partners
  .

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Implement and monitor
  Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
• Ensure all inspection activities align with
  Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
  policies.
• Conduct internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare periodic operational reports, project status summaries, and revenue analyses.
• Maintain an organized database of project documentation, certifications, and client communication records.
• Present monthly operational performance reviews to senior management with actionable improvement plans.

Strategic Development

• Collaborate with the
  Sales and Business Development
  team to support bid preparation, technical proposals, and client presentations.
• Contribute to the development of new inspection services, markets, and digitalization initiatives.
• Represent TUV Austria at seminars, exhibitions, and professional forums to strengthen brand visibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in
  Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  (Master's preferred).
• 7–10 years of experience
  in operations management within the
  TIC industry
  , preferably in inspection services.
• Strong technical knowledge of
  NDT methods, lifting inspection standards, asset integrity, and QA/QC processes.
• Proven experience in
  manpower management
  ,
  project coordination
  , and
  client handling.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in
  MS Office, ERP/CRM tools,
  and
  project management software.
