We're hiring a Local SEO strategist who understands today's SEO and tomorrow's AEO (Answer Engine Optimization).

This role goes beyond basic Google Business Profile management — we're looking for someone who can build full-spectrum visibility across Google Search, Maps, AI Overviews, and other search surfaces using modern SEO, backlinks, PR, and AI-driven optimization.

You must understand not just how to rank, but why things rank — using data, authority, and relevance to dominate local markets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and manage multiple Google Business Profiles (GMB/GBP) for maximum visibility
  • Improve local organic rankings across Google Maps and standard search results
  • Conduct keyword research and topical authority mapping to build full content ecosystems
  • Implement AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies to rank in AI overviews, snippets, and voice search
  • Build high-authority backlinks, citations, and press release campaigns to increase domain trust
  • Optimize on-page SEO: title tags, schema, speed, Core Web Vitals, and internal linking
  • Ensure proper indexing and crawling using Google Search Console and other advanced tools
  • Develop AI-assisted content workflows (SurferSEO, ChatGPT, NeuronWriter, Jasper, etc.)
  • Track keyword, backlink, and ranking growth using BrightLocal, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
  • Create and present monthly reports showing progress, insights, and ranking wins

Required Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of Local SEO, Organic SEO, and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
  • Experience with backlink strategies, digital PR, and content distribution
  • Understanding of Google's E-E-A-T, helpful content updates, and semantic indexing
  • Proven ability to build topical authority across clusters and subtopics
  • Expertise in keyword research, indexing, and competitor gap analysis
  • Experience with:
  • Google Search Console / Analytics
  • BrightLocal / Whitespark / Local Viking
  • SEMrush / Ahrefs / SurferSEO / NeuronWriter / ChatGPT
  • Rank Math / Yoast / Schema tools
  • Good english vocabulary and understanding of the english language.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with multi-location businesses
  • Familiarity with AI search trends (Google SGE, Bing Copilot, Perplexity, etc.)
  • Use of AI-powered optimization tools for ranking improvements
  • Basic understanding of content clustering and entity SEO
