Role Description

We are hiring an AI Automation & Agent Developer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent agents and automated workflows for client projects.

This is a remote role (EU time zones preferred) with the potential to start part-time or contract and grow into a full-time position based on performance. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Your main work will be to create diverse agents targeting German SMBs.

You will work independently from concept to delivery and ensure high attention to detail and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI Agents & Automation Workflows: Build multi-step, context-aware systems that combine AI reasoning with data processing and external integrations.
• Integrate APIs & Data Sources: Connect diverse systems such as chat platforms, CRMs, databases, and cloud apps using secure, efficient integrations.
• MCP Server Knowledge: Apply understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server principles for scalable and modular AI applications.
• System Architecture: Design solutions that are maintainable, extensible, and optimized for performance.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement structured testing, error handling, and monitoring to ensure high system uptime.
• Documentation & Handover: Create clear technical documentation so solutions can be maintained and scaled.
• Continuous Improvement: Research emerging tools and approaches to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio of automation and AI agent projects (links, demos, or case studies required).
• Practical experience in automation or orchestration platforms such as n8n, LangChain, Make, or custom-built pipelines.
• Working knowledge of MCP server architecture and AI model integration patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of ML, AI, and data fundamentals including prompt engineering, embeddings, context management, and RAG.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver solutions without heavy oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Qdrant and conversational AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with data processing, scheduling, and cloud deployment.
• Understanding of GDPR-conscious data handling and security best practices.
