IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Be responsible for maintenance of fiber network in LTR - N comprising of more than 3500 kms of fiber cable, GPON ODNs. Incumbent perform corrective and preventive activities to meet operational KPIs. The corrective maintenance activities include restoration of cable cuts within specified time duration meeting SLA/NTTR. The preventive maintenance comprises of PMR of underground and aerial cables. Replacement of problematic sections of aerial cables. Replacement of underground broken joints. relocation of network before start of mega projects, coordination with civic agencies, repair of handholes, placement of covers etc. He will be responsible for maintenance of stock register, preparation of BOQ, preparation and submission of P deposit bills, vehicle repair equipment repair and handling day to day staff related matters.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

  • Reduce cable cuts by replacing problematic aerial/underground cables and NAP/FATs to enhance network stability.
  • Minimize outage minutes by bringing unprotected FDIs into ring configurations to improve network availability.
  • Restore cable cuts within KPIs/SLAs, maintaining MTTR below 4 hours through timely team deployment and follow-up.
  • Liaise with civic agencies (LDA/WASA/SHCPL) through weekly meetings for better network protection coordination.
  • Maintain stock registers for critical items like joints, cables, and splitters to ensure smooth network maintenance.
  • Coordinate weekly with the service department to secure the network during deployment works.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

  • BSc Engineering in Electrical, Telecommunication, Electronics, or Computer Science.

Competencies:

Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge of NHS for network-related issues.
  • Proficiency in BO for FAT/NAP restoration and low power improvement.
  • Understanding of Development/OA for PAT.
  • Familiarity with warehousing and logistics for store collection.

Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of fiber network operations and deployment.
