We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Database Engineer with strong expertise in Supabase
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable database systems that power our applications. You will work closely with our development team to ensure smooth integration between backend services, APIs, and front-end systems while optimizing performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage
    Supabase databases
    and related infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize
    PostgreSQL
    schemas, queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Implement and manage
    Row-Level Security (RLS)
    , access controls, and authentication flows in Supabase.
  • Integrate Supabase with
    frontend frameworks
    , React) and backend services.
  • Build and maintain
    APIs
    and serverless
    Edge Functions
    using Supabase and TypeScript.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Set up
    automated backups, migrations, and disaster recovery plans
    .
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and DevOps engineers to ensure efficient data workflows.
  • Stay updated with Supabase and PostgreSQL updates, best practices, and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
    .
  • 2–5 years of experience
    as a Database Engineer, Backend Developer, or similar role.
  • Proven
    hands-on experience with Supabase
    (database design, auth, storage, policies, API).
  • Strong command of
    PostgreSQL
    including query optimization and schema design.
  • Solid understanding of
    SQL
    ,
    RESTful APIs
    , and
    data modeling
    .
  • Experience with
    Edge Functions
    ,
    Deno
    , or
    TypeScript
    for Supabase functions.
  • Knowledge of
    cloud infrastructure
    (Vercel, AWS, or similar) for deployment and scaling.
  • Understanding of
    data security, encryption, and compliance best practices
    .

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience integrating Supabase with
    / React
    projects.
  • Familiarity with
    DevOps tools
    (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of
    NoSQL databases
    (MongoDB, Firebase) as an additional plus.
  • Supabase, PostgreSQL, or Cloud Certifications.
