We're seeking a
Backend Engineer
who thrives on building scalable APIs and integrations that power AI-driven products. You'll design and develop the backbone of X-Demand — from model-serving APIs to ERP/e-commerce integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build REST/GraphQL APIs to serve ML model outputs (forecasting, pricing, inventory)
  • Develop secure integration endpoints for external systems (POS, ERP, e-commerce)
  • Work with Data/ML team to deploy models into production-ready services
  • Ensure API reliability, versioning, and documentation for internal & external use
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend services

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with or Python/FastAPI/Django
  • Strong background in REST APIs, integrations, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with databases (Postgres, MongoDB, or similar)
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GraphQL or gRPC for high-performance APIs
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub)
  • Exposure to OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise security standards
  • Background in retail, e-commerce, or SaaS product integrations
