Role Summary

The Repair & Maintenance Supervisor will oversee day-to-day repair and upkeep of OB Hospitality Group's restaurant properties and facilities. This role ensures timely maintenance, preventive upkeep, and safe working conditions across all outlets while supervising internal staff and coordinating with external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate daily repair and maintenance activities across all OBHG outlets.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building facilities.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify repair needs and safety hazards.
  • Assign tasks to technicians/handymen and follow up on job completion.

Vendor & Resource Management

  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repair work.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Verify the quality of repair and installation work by third parties.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all repairs meet health, safety, and hospitality compliance standards.
  • Maintain records of equipment service, warranties, and inspections.
  • Ensure fire safety systems, emergency exits, and safety equipment are functional.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain logs of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repair history.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly maintenance reports for management.
  • Recommend improvements, replacements, or upgrades of equipment/facilities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • 3–5 years' experience in repair & maintenance, preferably in hospitality, retail, or F&B industry.
  • Hands-on knowledge of kitchen equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise technical teams.
  • Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and quick decision-making ability.
  • Flexibility to travel between outlets and work on weekends/holidays if required.
