About the Role

As a Manual QA Engineer, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our software products by applying comprehensive testing methodologies. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues, improve user experience, and uphold high-quality standards across web and mobile applications.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases from requirements and user stories.
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and usability testing across web and mobile applications.
  • Validate business logic and ensure accurate data through backend testing and SQL queries.
  • Perform API testing with tools like Postman or Swagger to verify endpoints and security.
  • Document and report defects clearly in Jira with steps, expected results, and environment details.
  • Maintain detailed test documentation, including cases, scenarios, and test data.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, grooming).
  • Provide QA input during requirement reviews and project planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing for consistent performance.
  • Stay updated on QA best practices and contribute to process improvements.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with web and mobile testing.
  • Proficiency in API testing (Postman, Swagger).
  • Strong SQL skills for backend validation.
  • Experience with cross-browser testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • Good knowledge of Android/iOS systems and app interactions.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) — nice to have.
  • Proficiency in bug tracking tools like Jira.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
