  • Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting operations specific to construction projects.
  • Handle job costing, project billing, retainage, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor and subcontractor payments.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track budgets, cost variances, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, construction tax laws, and state/federal regulations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and project expense reports.
  • Support payroll processing, certified payroll reports, and union/non-union compliance (if applicable).
  • Assist external auditors with annual audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial controls, accounting processes, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter/ACCA Part Qualified preferred but not required).
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience in the US construction industry
