Job Summary

The
Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance
is responsible for supporting the QA Manager in implementing, monitoring, and improving quality and food safety management systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising QA activities, conducting audits, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality and food safety Management System.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.
  • Plan and execute internal and external quality audits; document findings and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Review and approve standard operating procedures, batch records, and quality documents.
  • Support in root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) implementation.
  • Conduct training sessions on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Track key quality metrics (defects, non-conformances, complaints, etc.) and prepare reports for management.
  • Liaise with production, R&D, and other departments to ensure quality is integrated into all processes.
  • Participate in supplier qualification and evaluation processes.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO, GMP, or other relevant certifications and compliance audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Food science and technology /MSC chemistry relevant field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/ LAC FSSC, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of QMS, FSSC, regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, etc.).
  • Experience with audits, CAPA, and risk management tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
