The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and converting leads into successful deals. This role involves market research, client communication, proposal development, and close coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and project alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various platforms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with the project management and technical teams to ensure client expectations are understood and met.
Follow up on leads, schedule meetings, and handle initial communication with clients.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools or tracking sheets.
Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in IT or software services.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand client requirements and offer suitable solutions.
Familiarity with online bidding platforms and lead generation strategies.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and team-oriented.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
