Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented 
Bookkeeper

with 2–3 years of experience to join our Finance team. As a Bookkeeper at Carpe Diem, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledgers.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the Finance Manager in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll processing.
  • Provide documentation and support during audits.
  • Monitor cash flow and report regularly to management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
