About the Role
We're looking for Sales Development Representatives (SDR) who are hungry, persistent, and ready to grow in a fast-paced insurance brokerage environment. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers — both inbound leads who request quotes through our website and cold leads that need follow-up calls.
Your goal: qualify leads, confirm their information, complete underwriting questions, and send out qualification forms via DocuSign. Once a customer signs, you'll move the lead from "Qualified" to "Quoting."
What You'll Do
- Make outbound calls to prospects who have filled out forms or requested quotes.
- Handle inbound leads with urgency and professionalism.
- Confirm and update lead information to ensure accuracy.
- Ask and document underwriting questions (training provided).
- Send qualification forms via DocuSign and follow up until signed.
- Achieve daily and weekly targets for call volume, conversions, and lead qualification.
- Collaborate with the quoting and sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and ensure all notes are detailed and complete.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of sales experience (preferably in phone-based, cold calling, or inside sales roles).
- Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills.
- High comfort with rejection — you're motivated by the "no's" that lead to the "yes."
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRMs, DocuSign, and phone systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and eager to grow with a high-performing team.
- Insurance experience is a plus, but not required — we'll provide full training.
