Psychologist - Community Outreach Services

Purpose:

The Psychologist will provide psychological support to patients during community outreach camps. This role involves working as part of a team to deliver counseling services, mental health assessments, and interventions for individuals in need within the community.

The psychologist will also help raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to patients at community camps.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to patients' needs and follow up on their progress.
  • Collaborate with the outreach team to plan and implement community mental health initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting mental health awareness sessions for community members.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during outreach camps.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of outreach programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology from a HEC recognized institution.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent counseling and therapeutic skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and practices in community settings.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to travel frequently to different community camp locations.

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in counseling or community-based mental health services is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • The Psychologist will be required to travel frequently to community outreach camps, working in various community settings.

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to Rs65,000.00 per month
