Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and motivated Associate 2D Artist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in 2D character design, and who also wants to explore UI design, 2D environments, and basic animation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create original and visually appealing 2D character designs, including turnarounds, poses, and expressions.
  • Use sketching to explore different character ideas, styles, and concepts.
  • Design clean and consistent assets for game UI, such as buttons, icons, and pop-ups.
  • Contribute to the creation of 2D environment elements such as backgrounds, props, and in-game scenes.
  • Support basic 2D animation tasks like character movements, UI transitions, or visual effects.
  • Work closely with art leads, game designers, and developers to ensure your artwork aligns with the game's style and requirements.
  • Apply feedback from senior artists and make revisions to improve quality and clarity.
  • Maintain consistency in art quality and file organization throughout the game development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Game Art, or a related field.
  • 0–6 months of experience in game art, digital illustration, or similar roles (internships/freelance work count).
  • Strong skills in sketching and visual storytelling through character art.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Portfolio that includes character sketches, finished 2D artwork, and samples of UI or environment assets (if available).
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, color theory, and composition.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a willingness to experiment with new styles.
  • Basic understanding of 2D animation principles is a plus.
  • Interest in mobile games and a passion for building engaging visuals.
