Job Title: IT Support Officer

Job Summary:

The IT Support Officer is responsible for providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. This role supports day-to-day IT needs and helps maintain the organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position Summary:

The IT Support Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role provides day-to-day technical support to employees, manages hardware and software installations, and resolves IT-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance user productivity. The position also assists in implementing IT policies, managing system updates, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth technology operations across the office.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing technical support to staff in person, via phone, or remotely.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of technical issues and resolutions to identify recurring problems and improve response efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and basic IT training to end-users when needed.

System & Network Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, projectors, and other peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, email configurations, and security access in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, and system backups.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, routers, switches, and other networking equipment.

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets, including equipment allocation, software licenses, and warranty details.
  • Ensure timely repair, replacement, or disposal of IT hardware as per company procedures.
  • Assist in procurement processes by evaluating IT equipment and service requirements.

Security & Compliance

  • Support implementation of IT security protocols, antivirus updates, and data protection measures.
  • Report and escalate any security breaches or vulnerabilities to the IT Manager immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs150,000.00 per month
