COMPANY OVERVIEW

A reputed Exploration & Production Company invites applications for the position of General Manager (Drilling Operations).

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor of Engineering degree (recognized from HEC) from a reputable national or foreign university. Having a postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

16 years professional relevant post-qualification experience including 07 years in management role(s) with large companies relevant to drilling and work-over operations in upstream oil & gas sector. The candidate must have a proven track record of the following key responsibilities for future role:

  • Planning, execution and supervision of all drilling activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, regulatory standards and operational excellence.
  • Overseeing multidisciplinary teams across well engineering, drilling operations, and project execution, ensuring seamless coordination from well design through to delivery.
  • Leading the development of operational and capital budgets; manage cost controls, resource allocation and forecasting; and ensure optimal deployment of assets and personnel.
  • Defining and tracking departmental KPIs to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and deliver value against defined benchmarks.
  • Building a strong HSEQ culture across all drilling activities. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and promote proactive risk management.
  • Mentor, motivate and develop high-performing teams. Build leadership pipelines and ensure capability building across critical technical and managerial roles.
  • Strong technical expertise in drilling and well engineering, proven leadership in managing large-scale, complex drilling operations and solid financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control.

The selected candidate will be offered a 03 years contract employment extendable by mutual consent, with market-based salary and other benefits commensurate with experience and Company policy.
