About the Role

To lead the Production Planning & Control (PPC) function by developing and executing efficient production plans aligned with delivery schedules, capacity, and resource availability. The role ensures optimal utilization of materials, machines, and manpower while minimizing delays, controlling WIP, and supporting on-time delivery with consistent quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage master production plans to meet delivery timelines efficiently.
  • Monitor capacity across departments and allocate workloads accordingly.
  • Coordinate with IE Department to conduct time studies to analyze and enhance production workflows and labor utilization.
  • Coordinate with IE Department in optimizing the man-to-machine ratio (MMR) to ensure effective use of labor and equipment.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials through effective MRP coordination.
  • Track and control WIP at all stages to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Analyze production data and generate performance reports for management.
  • Utilize ERP/MIS tools for accurate planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Production reports, including optimization of MMR, CPM, OTIF, and actual vs planned capacity planning.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Identify and implement lead time reduction and process improvement strategies.
  • Lead and develop the PPC team to enhance planning efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master degree in Industrial Engineering/ Textile Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum experience of 12 to 15 years in production Planning.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MIS tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in production planning and control.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
