Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented
Geographic Script Writer
to create engaging, accurate, and informative scripts focused on geographical topics. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, a passion for geography, and the ability to transform complex geographical data into compelling narratives suitable for videos, documentaries, e-learning platforms, or educational content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and write clear, engaging scripts on diverse geographic topics including physical, human, and environmental geography.
  • Collaborate with content creators, educators, or production teams to align scripts with project objectives and target audience needs.
  • Translate complex geographic concepts, maps, and data into simplified, story-driven content.
  • Ensure factual accuracy, proper sourcing, and up-to-date information in all scripts.
  • Adapt writing style and tone to fit various formats (documentaries, online courses, podcasts, or YouTube videos).
  • Review and revise scripts based on feedback from editors, producers, or subject matter experts.
  • Stay updated with global geographical issues, trends, and advancements to keep content relevant.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Journalism, Communications, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in script writing, content creation, or academic/educational writing.
  • Strong understanding of geographic concepts, global issues, and environmental trends.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and present information in a structured manner.
  • Creativity to craft narratives that captivate and educate audiences.
  • Familiarity with multimedia production (voiceovers, video editing, e-learning tools) is a plus.
