Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our truck dispatching team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, building strong relationships with carriers and owner-operators, and closing sales to secure freight dispatch contracts. You will work closely with our dispatching operations team to ensure client satisfaction, timely load booking, and consistent revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Identify and prospect new carriers, owner-operators, and trucking companies for dispatch services.
- Make cold calls, send emails, and use social media to generate qualified leads.
- Present dispatch service packages, pricing, and benefits to potential clients.
- Negotiate and close contracts with clients, ensuring profitable terms for the company.
Account Management
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Follow up regularly to ensure client satisfaction and resolve concerns quickly.
- Upsell additional services when appropriate (e.g., factoring, fuel cards, compliance services).
Coordination with Dispatch Team
- Communicate client requirements, schedules, and load preferences to the dispatch team.
- Ensure seamless handover of accounts from sales to dispatch operations.
- Monitor client performance and assist in load volume growth.
Reporting & Targets
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and deals in the CRM.
- Provide weekly sales reports and pipeline updates to management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience of atleast 1-3 years in
sales and dispatch
, preferably in the US
transportation, logistics, or dispatching industry
. - Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with trucking industry terms, load boards, and dispatch processes is an asset.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM software, load board navigation).
