Job Purpose:

Square One Mall is seeking a reliable and proactive Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This includes monitoring security systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Role:

· Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property.

· Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action.

· Conduct regular inspections of premises, including doors, windows, and locks, ensuring all are secure.

· Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.

· Provide access control by checking identification and verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees.

· Assist in implementing safety protocols and emergency evacuation plans.

· Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Intermediate, graduate preferable. At least 5 years of similar experience.
  • Ability to remain alert and vigilant while on duty.
  • Must be from an Army or Rangers background.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness to perform duties, including standing for long periods and walking long distances.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Previous experience as a security officer and additional security certifications or training is a plus.
  • Strong decision-making skills in emergency situations.
