About the Role
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is seeking a
Manager – Academics Design Excellence
to lead key academic initiatives that directly impact the quality of education across our nationwide school network.
This role requires a strategic thinker and academic leader who will provide planning, direction, and support to projects focused on
curriculum design, academic policy development, and teacher guide (TG) revamp
. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of educational practices, strong project management capabilities, and a passion for innovation in curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Project Oversight
- Lead the ongoing
Teacher Guide (TG) revamp project
, ensuring content quality and timely delivery. - Collaborate with subject leads to review, give feedback, and refine textbook and guide content.
- Manage a diverse team of
consultants and freelancers
to support project needs. - Track and report on
project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets
.
Academic Policy Analysis
- Critically analyze current
academic policies and programs
(e.g., copy checking, remediation, extracurriculars). - Propose strategic updates to align with the evolving needs of schools and teaching staff.
- Improve internal
Academics Department processes
for greater efficiency.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor a team of
curriculum leads and developers
, aligning content with TCF's academic vision. - Partner with education designers and program developers to create innovative learning solutions.
Field Visits & Implementation
- Conduct school visits to observe classroom practices, assess learning environments, and identify areas for design improvement or faculty development.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare
clear, actionable reports, presentations, and data visualizations
for senior management to support strategic planning.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong
leadership and relationship management
skills. - Proficiency in
project management
and strategic planning. - Experience with
curriculum design
and educational content development. - Proficiency in
design-thinking
and educational problem-solving. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in
Urdu and English
. - Ability to produce data-driven reports using
MS Office tools
, especially
Power BI, Excel, and Word
. - Knowledge of
research methodologies
and ability to conduct field research.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree
in Education or a related field (Master's preferred). - Minimum
2 years of relevant experience
in leadership, curriculum design, or teacher training roles. - Prior experience in the
nonprofit education sector
is a plus.
