About the Role

9T5 is looking for a hands-on Tech Team Lead / Solution Architect for our Lahore office to lead architecture, development, and delivery across our next-generation SaaS and marketplace platforms.

You'll be working on active, revenue-scaling products that are transforming how industries connect, hire, and operate collaborating daily with both Pakistan and Australia-based teams.

This is a leadership role for a senior engineer or architect who enjoys building, leading, and scaling, combining technical depth with people management and cross-country coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & System Design: Lead architecture across backend (PHP Laravel, ), frontend ), and database layers (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch).
  • Product Engineering: Drive high-quality product development across multiple SaaS platforms in their growth and monetisation phase.
  • Cross-Country Collaboration: Work directly with Australian product owners, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across releases.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor Lahore-based engineers, plan sprints, conduct reviews, and enforce high development standards.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Establish and maintain efficient deployment pipelines using AWS (EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, S3, SNS/SQS, etc.).
  • Performance & Quality: Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability through robust testing and code reviews.
  • AI Integration: Collaborate on initiatives that leverage AI/ML for automation, personalisation, and system intelligence.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 7+ years of software development experience with a strong foundation in PHP (Laravel)
  • Advanced skills in , React / , and PostgreSQL
  • Proven AWS experience across microservices, containerization, and serverless deployments
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation pipelines
  • Strong understanding of API design, authentication, and integration patterns
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing delivery cycles
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across global teams

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AI/ML or vector-based search integrations
  • Experience with high-traffic, multi-tenant SaaS products
  • Background in Agile development and sprint management
