𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:

Zara Shahjahan, a leading name in Pakistan's luxury fashion industry, is looking for a creative and skilled Textile Fashion Designer to develop and transform unstitched collections into beautifully curated stitched wear. The ideal candidate must have a strong sense of fashion aesthetics, color coordination, and fabric understanding, with hands-on experience in designing and executing ready-to-wear looks from unstitched concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Create new textile prints, motifs, color palettes, and design layouts for formal, luxury, and prêt collections.
  • Develop embroidery patterns, embellishment details, and fabric textures that reflect brand identity.
  • Prepare detailed design sheets, khakas, and CAD sketches.

Research & Trend Study

  • Conduct trend research on global and local fashion trends, motifs, color themes, and textile innovations.
  • Study traditional Pakistani craft, handwork, and cultural inspirations relevant to brand direction.

Sampling & Production Coordination

  • Coordinate with sampling teams, artisans, and embroiders for sample execution.
  • Review fabric quality, print testing, dyeing, and embroidery samples to ensure accurate output.
  • Resolve production issues related to print, embroidery, or fabric finishing.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and senior designers on seasonal collection planning.
  • Provide design inputs during fittings, fabric selection, and collection styling.
  • Ensure all design files, artwork, and specifications are updated and documented.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command of
    design software
    such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD (optional).
  • Excellent understanding of
    textile structures, embroidery techniques, fabric behavior, and print development
    .
  • Aesthetic sense aligned with Zara Shahjahan's brand identity (heritage, minimal, handcrafted).
  • Strong research, visualization, and mood-board creation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple design tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in textile/fashion designing (fresh graduates with strong portfolios may also apply).
  • Portfolio showcasing textile prints, fashion sketches, and embroidery designs.
