Hub Technical Material BuyerTo provide direct support to the Sourcing Managers. To lead cost out projects across all Hub sites. To provide direction and support to Hub Sourcing administrators. To ensure full compliance to Essity P2P process.What You Will Do

Main responsibilities

  • Execute design to cost opportunities for all hub streams across all Hub sites, ensuring working capital efficiency.

  • Comply with Essity procedures, purchasing policy and financial instructions

  • Support Hub Sourcing managers in the execution of tenders, supplier qualification, supplier selection, risk management

  • Work closely with all stakeholders to drive continuous improvement through cost saving projects, organizing trials, implementing supplier changes and tracking savings.

  • Maintain and develop knowledge database, aligning reporting capability across the hub and co-ordination of systems improvements, driving initiatives such as E- procurement.

  • Review and monitor sourcing operational needs when interfacing with suppliers, ensuring effective communication of best practices and supporting roll out of these initiatives (Hub level).

  • Review and maintain records of approved suppliers in line with Essity risk policy

  • Ensure that the interests of Essity are managed in a professional and ethical manner throughout all interactions with suppliers, ensuring full compliance with Essity Supplier Standard

  • Ensure, where appropriate, the integration of common product types across all sites of Essity and ensure a harmonized approach across all hub engineering storerooms

  • Supply regular updates and KPI's to Sourcing managers to ensure effective communication of cost saving activities (Actual v's target)

Who You AreSkills and Experience Required
  • 8+ years diversified experience in Supply Chain; including 2 years of supervisory experience, which 2 must have been in the Procurement functions
  • Degree in, Business or Engineering/relevant science fields from HEC recognized university.
  • Optional Certified Procurement/Supply Chain Professional
  • Understand technical specification of medical device materials for e.g. Cotton (LINO), Pharma Chemicals.
  • Understand forecasting of medical device raw materials and price fluctuations behind season, weather conditions, geo political situation and pre empt buying
  • Strategy development and implementation
  • Knowledge of material standards, Supply Chain best practices, commodity trends, market intelligence, strategic objectives both locally and Globally that impact related supply network.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
High level of commercial awareness and ethical sourcing.
Working knowledge of renowned systems and procurement platforms.
Awareness of international laws that impact us when dealing with suppliers external to Pakistan/ Adequate knowledge of Taxes & Duties.
